Tonight the husband and I went on a date. As much as I adore the kiddos, it was wonderful to get out just the two of us – it had been too long! My parents babysat s0 that cost us $0 (actually we kind of gained from this as they ordered in pizza and fed our kids – gotta love it!). We used a coupon from the local paper and got $11 off our dinner at a wonderful Indian restaurant. Our total was $37 after tip – $35 of which came from selling a bumbo earlier this week on Craigslist. Then we used a “Cineplex movie night for 2″ gift certificate I won last month from an online contest. So, in all, only $2 came out of our weekly budget – not bad!
By the way, we watched The Other Guys (Will Ferrel). It was just as expected – really funny in parts, not so much in others. Not my favourite Will Ferrel movie, but entertaining. G (who enjoyed the movie more than I did) thought the funniest part of the show was when I asked him half way through the movie who the horrible actor that played Will’s partner was – turns out it was Marky Mark. Now I can’t get “Good Vibrations” out of my head. Oh Marky Mark – where is the Funky Bunch now?
